About the Journal

The Journal of Transdisciplinarity in Rural Wellbeing (JTRW) is an open access journal that publishes peer-reviewed research covering all aspects of rurality with particular interest in the area of wellbeing.

JTRW accepts submissions from a variety of approaches, including but not limited to: rural health, rural education, environmental wellness, agronomy, rural sociology, animal studies, rural geography, science and technology studies, rural psychology, happiness studies, environmental horticulture, environmental humanities, rural design, and other research endeavors that address the topic of wellbeing in (more-than-human) rural environments.

The journal is part of a larger portal that brings together different types of audio, visual and textual content to encourage scholars, policy makers, students, and practitioners from several traditions to engage in the study and deliberation about rural wellbeing.
